Shark fin antenna compatibility

I’m thinking of swapping out the OEM whip antenna that came with my 2016 Polo 6C to a OEM shark fin version. I know that I need the little green FAKRA connector (PN 6Q0035575K) to mate into the shark fin antenna (PN 1K0035507J). I would ideally like to salvage a good condition shark fin antenna off of a wrecked Polo or Golf. If I take one off that looks the same and is generally within the same model year (around 2016) am I pretty safe in terms of compatibility? It would be convenient to not have to remove the shark fin antenna first to see if it is compatible.

6C has a square hole. remember, sharkfin antennas do not offer FM or DAB reception. only GPS, cellular and webasto.

Oh I see now about the lack of FM. That makes this conversion not worthwhile to me anymore. Thanks for pointing that out.
