timing chain

Hi all

my sons car is a 2002 polo9n 1.2 with 40,000 miles on the clock should the timing chain be done

jsut a thought

any ideas

Chains do not have a interval.
When you hear the chain rattle when starting the car, it's time to change it.
I never changed my chain on my previous polo 9N3 with 220.000 km.
No rattling what soever
