On my 2020 Polo GTI I always disable keyless entry when I lock the car for security reasons.
When I do this, is it the car that is set to ignore the keyless entry signal from the key or is it the key that stops transmitting the keyless entry signal? Or a combination of both?
Just curious!

Re: Disabling keyless entry
I have no idea. As long as the procedure outlined by VW actually disables it, I’m not that bothered how it does it. I also always temporarily disable keyless on my car.
IMHO keyless entry it’s one of those pointless features that car manufacturers’ marketing teams have brainwashed many car buying customers into thinking is something they must have! It was part of the standard spec on my car - if it hadn’t been, I’d never have paid extra to have it.

Re: Disabling keyless entry
It's also a big security threat!
Hence why I did not bother to spec it on my car.
