Good evening,
I hope I've landed at the right place?
My car has suddenly developed a vibration when accelerating fairly hard. My mechanic friend has checked the VAG OBD diagnostics it has returned the following:
Cam adjuster "B" cylinder 2 (self switching)
Could anyone tell me whether cam adjuster B is on the intake side or on the exhaust side & how easy it is to replace if possible please?
Thank you in advance.
Neil.

What was the actual error code number (starts with P usually)?
This might get you more help.

Re: Blue GT (2015) Vibration Under Load
Good evening,
For 1.4l petrol engine , CZEA
N583 Inlet cam actuator for cylinder 2
N591 Inlet cam actuator for cylinder 3
N587 Exhaust cam actuator for cylinder 2
N595 Exhaust cam actuator for cylinder 3
A or B is only defined for 1.8l petrol engine , DAJA, DAJB. I assume this depends on the diagnostic tool used...

Bolt torque:
- c act 8Nm
- hose 5Nm

Thank you, that's a lot of helpful information.
The units used were an OBD Eleven & a Solus+, both showed the same fault.
Which part do you think I need?

P12CA00 The energy consumption of the fuel injector of cylinder 1 has exceeded the upper limit value.
You must use a diagnostic tool that will accurately inform you of the part that is failing. N5.. ?

Ah, I see, is there a diagnostic tool that you could recommend or should I just take it to VW?

I would try with VCDS, it is usually precise in these terms/definitions. Without a doubt, the VAS would tell you exactly what you want to know.
There are undoubtedly very good diagnostic tools that are very easy to use "
", but I consider that these 2 are the most reliable for these issues.
