EMC & EPC lights illuminated

Hi

First time poster, my parents have a 2014 Polo 1. 4l petrol and last night, as they were driving home, the EMC & EML lights came on and the car went into limp mode.

They made it home okay and when they restarted the car, no warning lights and it's running fine now. Anything in particular I can check for them before sending it to the garage?

If you can, scan to see if there any fault code in the memory.

Try to drive it, it can be an intermitent fault.

Don't have a vw scanner unfortunately. It's driving okay now though

Okey so maybe an intermitent fault related to bad fuel or something else.

Happen to me on time. EPC light + check engine light. I shut off engine and restart: no more issue and no codes stored after scan.
s**t happen sometimes.
