Dear reader,
I bought a set of 'Vland' smoke led tube taillights for my Polo 6r 2011 1.2tsi 105pk.
I installed the rear lights but only the turn signals and the rear fog light only work, the rest does not.
I have already tried to swap the inverters and wiring harnesses of the lamps, but this did not give any other result.
I just tested the lights in another polo (6r 1.2 70hp 2011) owned by a friend of mine, and the lamps work perfectly!
Another friend of mine also has these lights in his polo 6r 1.2 tsi (90hp) so it should be possible.
So the problem is with the car…
But now I'm wondering where the problem is, and if anyone has experience with this problem

Re: Vland tail lights not working
Did you ever find a solution for this?
I have a 6r 1.2tsi but it says on the VLAND website “1.2TSI not supported.”

Re: Vland tail lights not working
The problem is with the BCM, it depends on how it is coded and parameterized. The side/position lights, turn signals and brake lights are under BCM control on the 6R Europe.
The better your BCM the less probability you are to get those VLAND taillights working. Most of those taillights were manufactured for other markets whose vehicles had more archaic electronics in the different lights that make up the taillights. Additionally, it must be kept in mind that all POLO 6Rs do not have the same wiring connected for the different lights (a real chaos).
You need a good diagnostic tool and good times of experimentation, ...in case you know how to code and/or parameterize your BCM.
In all the years we have been here, no one has commented on the exact path to make them work correctly (logically).
I would make them fully functional (without added devices - resistors or control modules -), but my experience would not be useful for others due to the BCM model that I have installed in my 6R. I prefer the POLO 6C taillights.
