1.4 8V Help needed!

Post by Rhodey »

Basically the engine is weak, wot would you guys recommend on tuning. Dont suggest an engine conversion cause i can't afford the insurance,

I was thinking of 4-1 manifold, cam, ECU re-map, exhuast and induction kit!

Does anyone know any other mods for good power gains?

manifold, zorst and induction kit is good. our member Criz has a 16v and is nearly pushing 120bhp. think hes got these modz. PM him for more detail.

IMO its not worth modding the engine, the insurance will go up for very minimal gain.

with the mods you are looking at, prob going to spend around £1k, your insurance will prob go up around £100 a year at least and you will prob only get at the most 20bhp more,

much better to save the money towards a faster car.

Im not trying to annoy anyone, this is in my own opinion.
