The latest breed of VW cars don't have headlight washers anymore, probably as a cost-saving measure. Little that I knew, my latest BCM doesn't have the little PCB components on it anymore to operate the pump for that.

So... after some research, the missing components were quickly transferred from a donor 5Q0 BCM to my 2024 5Q1 BCM and all is working. Big thanks to the one and only Slavik.

Well done, perfect!
I love seeing how the components line up when using the flux and solder paste, it seems like the components have a built-in PDC/PLA auto-parking system.
I'm stunned watching them park.

The Passats historically have the rear child booster seats. Since I already have the independent rear child locks, rear seat heating and the rear window curtains OEM, I figured I'd need these two.

The base:



Etka --> 885-020



Problem 1: couldn't find one with a white stitching. So I asked a good friend to replace the stitch, like she did for my gear lever.

Problem 2: no rear seat heating. That simply doesn't exist from factory. So I put in some pads myself...

Needs a lot of tiewraps to put it all back together





But the result is pretty neat!



The bump in the middle is the seat heating pad and I'm afraid it's not going away anytime soon, but that's life.

upcoming mods:
- 42, 52, BB and BC modules upgrade from 5Q0 HW: E + SW: E to 5Q0 HW: F and SW: K/L
- BCM 084EC
- 2Q0 side assist
- Kessy module to N/Q SW
- I'm unsure if the 084E BCM will work with the 5Q0 slip ring, so Patil inspired me about 5Q1 slip rings. I'll give that a try too.

Can you help me with D revision data set? I'm also retrofitting 2Q0 A5 to my 2017 B8 Passat

2Q0 Camera all sorted and Swaps etc done

Only issue now is KLR. Wheel has 5H0 klr module, does it have to be 3G0 instead, or do i just need to update gateway? Currently 3Q0 907 530 H continental gateway, GTE version

5h0 KLR is working perfectly fine here.

Adp channel for wheel touch recognition is not available on gateway for me, so looks like gateway flash to solve then!

Yeah I'd update the gateway then, IIRC you need AR SW for hybrid drivetrain. You can use FPA editor for dataset.

Once my Leon 5F returns from Seat with it's brand new zero mile engine, hopefully next week, I can carry on with my MQB retrofit attacks. I have missed it so much!

Yes that's a DQ500 with a Continental mechatronic. It was adapted online via ODIS eventually, after a lot of trouble
The Continental mechatronic cannot be made immo-off, it can only be done for the later Bosch DQ500 / DQ381 mechatronic.



This is an SDM gearbox from the 2017 Passat B8 2.0 TSI alltrack (CHHB), these got the DQ381 in 2018.
