Nox Sensor Issue

Hello My partners first car which is a nice little 9N3 with the 1.4 AXU engine, after carrying out various repairs the only issue left is a P1038 Code ( From autel and Snap on machines) and VCDS gave a P2205 code both meaning NOX sensor heater open circuit. I haven't had the chance to get it on the ramp and check all the wiring which i hope is the fault because the Nox sensor is now NLA and cant find one anywhere and 1 parts breaker wants £500 for a 2nd hand one. If a sensor is required the Part number is 03C906621 or NGK/NKT97668. Does anyone know of an alternative or similar sensor that would fit. Only really concerned because the car wont pass mot next year with the EML on. I also take it that the AXU engine mus have been quite rare and thats why the parts are now NLA. TIA Luke.

That's a lambda sensor not a NOX sensor or emissions sensor as vw call it.
