I drive a Polo BlueGT with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. The car has 140,000 kilometers on the odometer. Recently, I’ve noticed that the gear shifts have become jerky. This is especially noticeable when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear, and even more so from 3rd to 4th gear. I can feel a distinct jolt, almost like a litte “shock,” when it transitions to the next gear. As a passenger, you can feel it too—it’s as if someone briefly taps the brakes.
