Polo GTI 6c lowering springs

Post by Brooke_cosg »

Hi just bought myself a 2015 5 door manual Polo GTI 6C. I’m looking to fit a set of lowering springs to the car to make it look sleeker does anybody know if the 30/50mm drop Vogtland springs for Polo 6r without diesel, incl gti and wrc, will fit my facelift 6c model gti polo? My axle weight plate on door jam is left blank from factory by vw although vogtland say front axle weight max load is 960kg and 800 for rear. If anybody could let me know if these would fit my car or not with the optional sport package which means it has the option to stiffen the suspension also. Thanks! :D
Ps: if anybody has any better recommendations in terms of lowering springs for the gti shoot them at me!

Yes, the Vogtland springs for 6R will fit your 6C GTI - the suspension components are identical between these models.
BTW - VW offered 3 different spring sets (Eibach ones with VW branding) based on the car's weight category. This mainly varied depending on things like engine size (smaller vs bigger engines), transmission type (manual vs DSG), battery placement, and whether it's a 3-door or 5-door model.
I had the Eibach Pro-Kit (-25/-30mm) on my Polo 6R and while it was generally good, the rear height was quite annoying - the back sat too high unless I had passengers or heavy cargo in the boot. Eventually solved it by switching to coilovers 😄
