Polo 6R MFSW problem: right buttons not working!

I don't think BCM is the problem.

What will happen if you replace 540800 by 140800 coding in Address 17: Instruments (J285)?

Bit 3(Multifunction-Function-Display active/installed shouldn't be checked(08 vs 0A)? Maybe that is the cause? 54 vs 14 is Japan vs Other the World?

It was checked from the beginning, it should work anyway.

Well, I tried modiying the coding from "54" to "14", but it didn't fixed the problem.

What if there is a cable missing from BCM to Instrument Cluster?
The steering button control unit communicate with the BCM, but the BCM cannot transfer the signal to the cluster, because a single cable is missing. Could it be possible?

No, MFSW LIN -- BCM/Gateway -- CAN lines IC (powertrain in this case).

Wires only are used with Trip computer on stalk.

The last attempt for this weird problem, 020000 (MFSW coding)

I suppose this SW with paddles for DSG was very cheap. Try with other different buttons (without DSG paddles ).

We tried another MFSW without DSG paddles and right buttons didn't work anyway...

I'll try the coding you suggest and I'll let you know.

I don't have any other suggestions regarding this MFSW buttons issue either, maybe someone can contribute something else.

An unrelated question, have you experienced any problems when modifying the engine coding (to GTI engine coding?) of your 6R to be accepted the ABS system coding for front 288mm discs?

Any advice related to this matter is welcome. TIA

Maybe the cluster has a weird software which doesn't support right button on the steering wheel. In any case, I guess my friend will have to live with that.

Regarding the ABS coding, no, I hadn't experienced any problem at all! All works perfectly.

I have same problem, and it was not show on auto scan(MFSW option check in 09 BCM and 17 Instruments).
Im not sure that could cause deactivate Right-side buttons?
