Start Stop battery help

Post FORUM SPECIFIC questions here: Such as, "HELP, I can't keep logged in for more than one session" etc... Not general help questions such as "my car won't start". You get the idea?

Start Stop battery help

Hiya, I am an eejit - it's official. I left my keys in my car last night and then discovered this morning that the battery is completely flat - no shocker there, then. Now, my query is how do I sort this?
VW POLO 1.0 auto 69 plate. Can I trickle charge it into some sort of live and how long would that take?
Do I need to change it completely for a new one? That brings a whole new set of probs 'cos of the computer settings. I can't take it anywhere 'cos it's flat. I have no fancy equipment other than my dad's whitworth spanners and a nosey neighbour.
