Re: Parking Sensors
Ok.
This week I have the 6R fully available to install the new PDC sensors... if everything goes according to plan, the 12K PDC - OPS 360° project will be finished next weekend.

Re: Parking Sensors
Hm..i been thinking. Maybe I should swap the wires on the rear senzors at the pdc conmector. Bur there are too many wires at the connector. At the parksenzors connectors theee are always three, all the same colour but at the end at the connector fhere are more than three. You said swap 4 to 1 but which wire is which?ciclo wrote: Sun Nov 02, 2025 3:36 am Supposedly, what you did is fine.
As you know, the 6R never came with front PDC sensors from the factory, so you need to find the easiest places to install the wiring for the front PDC sensors, the parking button, and the front warning buzzer.
The wiring should always be installed parallel to the existing factory wiring as much as possible, secured with zip ties.
I installed the wiring for the front PDC sensors on the right side, as it's easier to remove the glove box and route the wiring through the rubber grommet in the firewall (cab-engine bay), and because for me it's a more efficient installation. This required me to change the position 'T3/2 of the front PDC sensors to display the correct readings on the OPS screen. It's logical and simple. You can do this wire swap at the PDC unit connector.
This happens because the pre-made wiring harnesses for front PDC sensors are for the 6C (or rather, based on those indicated for the POLO 6C), which comes from the factory with the wiring harnesses installed on the left side.
Do your best to install the wiring harness and PDC components on your 6R 3-door. You may need to make some minor modifications to the wiring harness you purchased.

POLO 6R PQ25 vs POLO 6C PQ26, that small regulatory disaster that actually ended up significantly harming the end customer.
Let's see if humanity can begin to see itself as a whole and not just as a search for enemies.
One day, beings from other parts of the universe will arrive, and naturally, we will not be prepared for such an event.
We are not even capable of traveling through our solar system, imagine the power of the beings who reach our planet.

Re: Parking Sensors
How about using a multimeter?
In the image you showed of the T12 connector for rear PDC sensors, there's one wire for the positive signal of all four sensors, another is the ground signal for all four sensors, and the other four wires are the control signals for each sensor. It couldn't be simpler.
I gave you an example just for better understanding (1, 2, 3, 4). It's not a wire layout.
How on earth am I supposed to know how aftermarket wiring is made...?
Use the multimeter to find out which wires to swap.

Re: Parking Sensors
When I use the multumeter I am looking for some voltage on a wire like 12V, that is a positive signal:?ciclo wrote: Mon Sep 29, 2025 5:02 am CM = Composition Media

These are the radios or navigators (infotainment systems) used in VWs that replace the older RNS, RCD, etc.
Newer infotainment systems also include new models/evolutions. MIB2/2.5/3 ...
I don't know what works on any non-OEM radio with CAN decoders (RCD 330/40, etc.?). I assume the OPS system will work.
However, the important thing is the beeps from the PDC system, the rest (on-screen displays - OPS, RVC Low/High, Area View 360º -) are small aids for people who have a lot of time to park in civilized places where the remaining traffic waits patiently for you to park after pressing a million buttons or viewing the parking lot on your wonderful screen...![]()
Regarding your modul 8K.
I think that Iforget this part. My radio android supports polo to 2013 models with Rns/rcd radios (I had 210 modell) So I think that 8k 7EO with your softwear for mqb will not work. Is there a way that you can write original softwear back to it so I can use it? With out automatic front senzors option? Ooo yes, how is the project going? Here are the models of radios my android unit does not suppott.

Re: Parking Sensors
8K 7E0? I've never spoken to you about my 8K 7E0 PDC unit... The 1K8 8K PDC unit has automatic activation, but depending on the radio model, it may or may not be displayed on the screen.
From what you've said, and making conjectures and assumptions, your Android radio is based on the RNS/RCD 510/310 models...
However, when a part is non-OEM, anything can happen.

Re: Parking Sensors
Sorry I wrote 7E0 by mistake. Hm. I read on ypur posts that you managed to have automatic front on 510 model of radio, yes? If you did that I am ok with that, I will try your 1k8 modul. It's ready to send if you still want it. I can send it to you next Monday.
However, for your information, we're waiting for our esteemed Dr. Patil to run some tests on his 6R with a different firmware —1KD instead of 1K8 on his 1K8 unit—which works the same as 1K8 but without the common diagnostic fault in PQ25.
If the results are positive, I'll flash the 1KD firmware to this unit, although I can send it to you with the 1K8 firmware if you prefer.
Re: Parking Sensors
You are saying if the flashing is ok there will be no more error through vcds? 7ciclo wrote: Fri Nov 07, 2025 10:14 am

Yes, it's recent information.
We have to wait for Patil to kindly carry out the checks before we know what to do.

Re: Parking Sensors
So we wait. Tomorrow is a weekend. I am driling the holes in the rear bumper. I am also repining the connecter that goes in pdc modul from the rear senzors. I opened it but how to pull out the wires?ciclo wrote: Fri Nov 07, 2025 2:48 pm Yes, it's recent information.
