Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
My folding mirrors work manually by the switch, can you set them to auto fold when you turn the ignition off, but over-ride that if you want them out (say at a car show etc)?

Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
To fold the mirrors in the 6R, you need to hold down the remote lock button for a couple of seconds (or keep the physical lock turned), so they will not fold in with normal closing.
Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
I have a 6c and I have concluded that I need a new BCM to enable folding by remote or ignition.
Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
Here i am again after some time away haha,
I managed to install the left and right mirror without any issues. However my left window opens slightly every time i open the door up and rolls up again once i close the door. Is there a setting somewhere i can completely turn that setting off?
Also my right motor seems to either be shorting or doing some weird thing. Once i plug it in, even without key it opens and closes the mirror constantly. Any idea? when its plugged in i also cannot "talk" to the module via VCDS. i opened the module up and the PCB is in a good state. No signs of obvious damage whatsoever. So i sadly installed my old window motor for the time being.
Any ideas Ciclo?
thanks in advance kind wise sir!

Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
Sounds like you bought some windows modules from a beetle with frameless doors?
edit: never mind you only wanna talk to ciclo lol

Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
We have another good friend in common who also bought/tested the Beetle WRMs... Slavik
, he never mentioned any issues with them because the window would roll down slightly when opening the door.
I think this feature for convertibles is specific to the FW, not codable. It can be coded into the BCM, but I don't think it'll work if the WRM already has this feature in the FW. It's best to ask Slavik.
It's possible that until the right WRM is coded correctly, it may behave abnormally due to the donor car's coding.

Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
My issue is, the right/passenger side control module does not show up in VCDS when im trying to code with the coding you provided earlier. Hence i reinstalled my old window motor.
Any idea where to start?

Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
That's why, until you read the 'new' passenger WRM, we won't really know what's happening (coding, internal short-circuiting, etc.).
If necessary, double-check that the LIN (white/violet wire) makes good contact with the corresponding pin on this WRM.
Review the WRM pins, clean them if necessary.
You can test it on another vehicle where these WRM models are installed and pre-code it there (or on a test bench). You can also disassemble it to check the status of the electronic circuit.
You know, the second-hand parts that are hard to get... blah, blah, blah...

hi ciclo,
im looking again for the correct passenger side door module.
What should be the correct number(s) and Z index code? Im struggling to find the right one.
Thanks in advance!

Hi, as we already mentioned:

Without a doubt, they will become harder to find as time goes on.
Good luck.

Re: Folding Mirrors Polo 6R BlueGT
does the Z0xnumber matter?
I see a lot of part numbers but all the Z0x are different.
