Yeah, never fun working in the rain. But then, neither is it fun working in up to 40C temps.
I'm dreading our winter season... I need new tyres, but can't afford right now.

Hi, sorry for the late answer.
For now, the project is stopped/canceled.
Catch can, siliconnes hose are on sale currently.
I spent to much time and money also in this, not worth at all since you have to "hand made" everything.

Very true.
I have to keep this one for a number of years more though so I'm going to still look into it.
I finally finish payments on this thing next year and then that's it for a several more years.
But, as I've said elsewhere before, any sign of serious trouble coming and it's gone and I'm getting myself an old '90s car without all this stuff.
Probably a Toyota.
I'm old enough now to look fine in a '90s Toyota.

Finally ordered one from China.
ProVent 100 knock off. It's so tiny.
Looks pretty good. The filter is well sealed inside it.
It has a JAC part number on it too. So seems JAC pickups actually require knock-off parts.
Compared to the original ProVent, this lists service interval of 5000km instead of 40,000km. I'll probably look for original Mann+Hummel filters for it.
Now I need to put some money aside for a new PCV pipe I can cut up and then I'll buy diesel transfer hose to hook it up.

Hello, here to continue this project that's been somewhat neglected. I received the PCV hose for the turbo side, but in this case, it's for a 1.0 TSI DHSC. In the next few hours, I'm going to cut this hose to make the necessary adaptations for the oil catch can, but I'm missing the catch can itself, which I've already ordered. My intention is to install a low-cost (Chinese) copy oil catch can from Temu or AliExpress.

It's great that we still have someone interested here. I requested two options, but I have doubts about the diameters of the hose fittings and their sizes to know which one would fit best. When I get the oil catchers, I'll keep you updated on which one best fits the hose diameters I need and the available space. From what I can see, I'm thinking the oil catcher for draining might be the best option since it's more complete and has more deflectors, which could work better. But until I have the catcher, it's all just speculation. When it arrives, I hope to keep you updated on my progress.

I need to do my catch can set up as well, but don't have spare tube yet. I went with the Mann+Hummel knock-off though.
Definitely prefer the one with the drain on it.
What you can do with that is leave that drain open, connect a hose to the bottom and that will collect oil. Attach it to chassis leg or something with the drain at the end. I've seen people use clear PVC+nylon tube for the oil to collect in.
Would be interested to see what you do with the pipe when you cut it.

Hi, here I am after the oil catch can arrived. I'm showing photos of the condition of the cut PCV pipe and its measurements. I can now say that the task is finished, but I don't have results from the sensor yet. Later I'll post a photo to see if it's actually collecting oil, but for now I can show the condition of the old PCV pipe, which clearly shows that a lot of oil is passing through this PCV valve on the turbo side. At the moment, I feel unique installing this sensor on this 1.0 engine. I hope someone else has done it for trial and error. I also put threadlockers on each part to try to prevent pressure loss.

Reporting an update here to show that the 1/2-inch hose fits into the PCV valve fitting at both ends. You can remove the factory plastic from the new hose; it goes in with a lot of effort, but it does go in eventually. This allows for more flexibility in the 1/2-inch hose, making it easier to position on the engine and shortening the hose length a bit. In previous photos, it was too long. I'm also sharing where I got the new PCV breather pipe. Just to clarify, this pipe isn't the same; it's similar, but not identical. The only difference from the original is that it doesn't align with the PCV valve bolt, but this can be fixed by rotating the pipe as we cut it. There's no problem with that; otherwise, the measurements are the same. It fits perfectly.
