2023 vs 2021 GTI Seats
2023 vs 2021 GTI Seats
hi Guys, just wondering if someone can tell me if there are actually any differences between a 2023 GTI and a 2021 GTI in the seats? Just looking for covers and all I can see is up to 2021 GTI for the custom covers.

Re: 2023 vs 2021 GTI Seats
Looking at the pictures below, they look pretty much the same to me. The only thing that might be different is the backrest side bolsters; on the pre-facelift seats to my eyes it looks as if the bolsters may be slightly more prominent at their widest point than they are on the post-facelift version, although that’s probably down to the different camera angle (and my eyesight!
) that makes it look that way.
Are the headrests different? You can see the full headrest on the pre-facelift seats but not on the post-facelift seats. Best to compare the pre-facelift headrests to the headrests on your actual seats.
I’m personally not a fan of most of the so called custom seat covers, although if you have a dirty job and want to keep the seats clean, I can understand why you’d want to cover them up and protect them. Because of the shape of the seats, IMHO custom seat covers are very rarely a good fit on heavily bolstered sports seats (the covers can look quite baggy and a bit like someone has slung a bin liner over the seats), unless you can find a professional car upholstery trimmer to make a bespoke set and that would probably be very expensive!
