Hi,
I have a 2010 Polo TSI 1.2 SEL
It started to cut-out when pulling up to junctions or slowing down to a crawl in traffic. Not ideal! Sometimes a smell of petrol too.
The engine management light is on as is the tyre-pressure light, ESP light and the brakepad/check brakes light.
Plugged in a cheap diagnostic tool and it returned the two fault codes below.
P0341 Camshaft position
P0016 Crankshaft position
I had the timing chain replaced back in 2021. Really hoping it's not that.
Car a bit sluggish to start as not been running it but once it's started it seems to idle ok.
My first thought is to change the camshaft sensor but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know where it is on this specific model?
Attached an image of my actual car engine.
