Intermittent dash outages and comms

Hi All,

Bought a 2016 1.0 polo tech pack recently. I had full electrical blackout whilst driving and start stop stopped working. It went back back under warranty. They diagnosed faulty battery and alternator.

We have had the car back a week and start sto now working but we are getting communication drop outs within first few mins of start up. Dash blanks, headlights blink, the dash cycles through abs, front bonnet, steering errors, and it settles on an orange triangle. Turn off and on after a few mins the triangle goes and faults may or may not recur during droving... My gut tells me my first issue was bad battery after sitting on the garage forecourt, could thd issues now seen be to due with the alternator replacement and disturbing any wiring? I dong have great faith in garages solving this type of issues, they dont have time to test and investigate.do if its easier for me to check loose connections that may have been disturbed I would ratger do that..before srmfing car back . any ideas?

Battery, Fuses, Loose Ground.

General:
Check that the fuses under the steering wheel and in the engine compartment are not blown and are securely seated.


Trying to fix two possible faults means they didn't identify the problem... a fairly common and lucrative mistake.
