how do i go about doin this?

Big problem is if it's anything like mine it's welded into the downpipe.....

You nee to be able to replace it for every MOT to meet the emmisions required....

Only solution I can see on mine is

1. Cut the cat out
2. Get four new flanges made up by a local enginering company
3. Get one flange welded onto the cut end of the cat
4. Get another welded onto the cut end of the downpipe
5. Get the other two welded onto a length of straight pipe to fit into the gap left by the cat after removal

Result one easily removable cat and a straight pipe to replace it when not needed......

Hope this all makes sense?
