The interior design is simple but practical

Post by lucaspalm »

One thing I really like about the Polo 6C is the clean and practical interior layout.
Many newer cars now rely too much on touch controls, while this generation still feels intuitive and easy to use. After years of ownership, simple designs like this often age surprisingly well.

I agree. The only thing I want back as physical switches is the TPMS reset switch and the ESP disabling switch. They moved into an infotainment menu with the 6C where the 6R usually had them as switches.
Oh, and also the instrument cluster illumination dimmer is in the infotainment unit. Was more practical as a thumb switch. But with this one, I've set the brightness once and never needed to change it since. :-)

I drove a Haval H6 a few months back. That would be a no thanks from me. Feature rich for sure, but too many displays for my liking, and too many assists and warnings going off. I don't see the fascination with these over here.

I see you state location as America. Do you have a 6R/6C? Import from Mexico?

Yes I agree, hiding the ESP switch didn't seem a logical thing to do, though I must confess that in winter slippery conditions with winter tyres on, I've never ended up finding the need to "take over" from the car's own stability system - but I'd rather it was always just there for me to use if and when needed!
