So, basically I've got a MST2 (5C0 035 680G) out of a Transporter retrofitted and everything works for the most of it. My unit came out of a Transporter T6.1, while the audio is good I reckon it could be better. I read about datasets so the questions I have are:
- Where can I get a dataset for the Polo 6R (5dr with 6 speakers)
- How do I upload this to the MST2?
Closest thing I can think of is the Polo 6C but If I'm correct they never came with a PQ unit, only ZR. I've tried coding it to a Polo 6C via VCDS but car images are just the MK7 Golf (I read this is the placeholder stock image for hatchbacks). The same applies on the Nav compass, car menu and OPS. If possible I'd like to change that to a Polo 6R/6C.
My next question or rather issue. Using CarPlay, the audio tends to cut out and play nothing but a static buzz. Only way to counter this is to pause the music in anyway and unpause it, only for it to come back. The same issue happens with calls, except when it happens on calls the other person can't hear me at all and I only hear the buzz. Is this a known issue as I read some VW cars have it but I don't know how common it is and if there's a fix for it? Normal USB and BT don't have this issue at all.

All I've got.
I have a 6C, trying to switch another 6C unit into it. Component Protection issue, and I want to flatten everything to run a DSP hence winding up with the info above and MIB Toolbox plans.
The factory sound in the 6C is "ok", but you tell a lot is just going missing once the volume goes up.
You can look at installing the toolbox and try getting into the OS that way. My replacement ZR unit is currently sitting here with a bunch of wires sticking out of it trying to get into the eMMC. Fun, not fun.
