Cannot become primary user in infotainment.

Hi all,

I have a new VW Polo (2026) and I cannot make myself the primary user on the infotainment system.

I have tried many times on different accounts and I have tried factory resetting the infotainment system. I can log in as a guest fine, but when I press “become primary user” it just tells me to press both keys, which registers fine, before saying “try again or contact support”.

I called Volkswagen, and they don’t seem to know what the issue is but said they’d look into it.

I have tried everything I can think of, and wondered if anyone had experienced the same issue or may know how to resolve it.

I'm not sure if they will help to solve your issue but maybe it can point you in a direction. Hope you get it sorted.
