6R - Multifunction Steering Wheel Retrofit

you don't have an electrical diagram of the airbag wiring?
I have a steering wheel from a Passat B6 with everything with a cable...but I don't have any active control
any help///please>?

HI all,

Thanks for the wonderful information. I'm new here.
I have 2011 VW polo 1.2 TSI 6R.
I had been a regular no button steering wheel.
I bought this MFSW and trying to retrofit to my car


I followed every steps closely and it was a success.
However, I have 2 issues,
1) Only 4 buttons working.
On the Right, the only one working is "CC Off" button and it working as a Horn.
On the left, Page left --> Song Previous, Page Right --> Song Next, "OK" button reduce the volume

2) No Light

Based on the reading, I believe it must be something to do with the connector ring.
I would like to confirm it with the seniors here for that.
I am planing to add Cruse Control soon and hope I could use the paddle shifter also.

I know I’m a few years too late, I didn’t read the instructions properly so after all the hard work I came to find out my polo airbag doesn’t fit (which again my fault), I was wondering the P/Ns of the airbags that do fit as I’ve done everything for my polo I just need the right airbag. There’s a lot that looks similar (like the touran mk1 or golf mk6) but I don’t know if they’ll actually fit.

what steering wheel do you have? the regular 6R0 steering wheel with buttons on the left? that will take a mk6 golf gti/r-line airbag

I got everything working but for some reason my car's got errors on the dash. Ive tried the steering angle sensor reset procedure but still comes up even a DTC reset doesn't fix it (Ignore the ABS and Seatbelt lights, had the handbrake on and seatbelt off). Any suggestions?

Hello guys, reviving this thread
because i want to add mfa functions...

My steering wheel is the classic T from the scirocco (without MFA)
MY cluster i believe is MFA+ since it comes from a GT

So i will buy the buttons, the wiring loom and module that Ciclo once told me i need .

What i want to know , is that according to this retrofit wiring must be done, for 12v and lin bus or however they are called.

is there another easier way to do this with this cable without soldering wires etc ?
Or in general any other easier way regarding the wiring ?
