No.17 for the past two days
Forgetting one of several bags on the train - my backpack - realising there's a certain weight off my shoulders as i climb into the car (luckily parked there), and having to play a real life version of "chase the express" to get it back
I won, but I ended up in the next city, and ran out of petrol crawling into the nearest forecourt.
And got home at 8.15....

Hmm.
Spent the whole day in a very bad mood. Reasons: 1. I have 10 days to complete a research paper which I came to absolutely hate. Must have about 50 pages and I'm stuck at 20 or so. I'm basically f****d. 2. Found out that 'freelancer' and 'unemployed' are one the same thing and am starting to run out of money 3. Had £400 of merchandise STOLEN while 'in transit' with a well-known courrier service - the box went from 3kg upon 'acceptance' to 910g upon delivery, with content being replaced by large bags featuring said courrier's logos that according to them 'cannot be obtained by the general public' - and still the b*stards want to pay me the £20 minimum compensation since the sender 'did not insure the package'. Well, he bl**dy well expected that the goods would be delivered, at least! Court case looms...
Of course this last bit has made point 2 all the more pressing (I'm completely broke).
And to top it all, just received a cryptic SMS from my girlfriend stating, 'I am very sad with you'. That means she'll probably ring me within the hour and we'll remain silent for minutes (I really have nothing to talk about except rant) and then she'll say 'good night' in a strange way and hang up and I'll be left wondering what the h**l is going on.
I really need a vacation. Right now.

christ thats nasty
(much more minor --- 18. the ration of crap ive been getting off my mum all evening simply because she's not feeling well - most people would use it as an excuse to lie in bed, and be quite grateful and gushing about people offering, eg, to make them a cup of hot chocolate and a bacon sandwich. instead she makes a nuisance of herself and takes every. last. thing. the wrong way, pretty much like she's doing it on purpose.... arrrrgh.... hey yknow im feeling pretty bad too but i dont happen to be a teacher on half term so i just have to "suck it up" and "not take it out on other people". flippin eck)
metz yeah thats wierd
roughly similar to mine i suppose, probably its just that you're measuring it only approximately
1st = 5.0mph/1000 (assumption - 3.454 ratio)
2nd = 8.33 (2.072..... 2.078?)
3rd = 11.67 (1.480..... 1.478?)
4th = 16.67 (1.036......1.098?) ((1.122??))
5th = 20.0 (0.863.....0.851) ((0.891??))
Ah, so it would seem, you have a GT box, not that wierd after all. Perhaps with a higher final drive ratio, perhaps just with a dicky speedo or adjusted for larger wheels. Or maybe even a vanilla 1-litre 5 speed disguised by the lower accuracy of reading in 1st & 2nd (&3rd?)
Or with a bit of creative tweaking it could still be an 8p-style box
