today my mods will be.... (ahem)
EDITed
*washing off about six weeks of crud and rain-stain - done, looks nice, took hardly any work apart from the left hand sills!
*repairing and refitting the oldskool hot air hose - cant find the bloody thing, think me mum's thrown it out! (she crashed into a lot of my spares on her last entry to the garage)
*finally putting the column surround back on - complete pig of a job but done!

Never quite got it running 100%, though it's a s**t quicker than it was! Mr Barningfield came over to collect a GT box and drop off some bits, so we tinkered with my car a bit and had a drive around. Did head into Retford later on, but no-one wanted to play. Just as well really - was pretty wet and wheelspin in 3rd doesn't make for rapid progress.madmatt wrote:me and metz went to worksop looking for you both tonight and give you a hand with the barry bashing but could not spot you anywhereamstrange1 wrote:Then fiddle with my CO pot to get it running right, and all being well go Barry-bashing Sat night.where do you go barry bashing can a mk 3 saloon and mk 2 coupe help next time give us a shout

Ah, it's you two my mate in Blyth's seen! He kept telling me about a couple of Polos parked up there. Blyth's probably just as near to my house as Retford, I live in a s**t little village in the middle of nowhere called Lound! Am at uni in Nottm during the week, just end up coming home most weekends to tinker with me car - would be good to meet up sometime.

Yeah, that's cool. My bro's hoping to pass his test soon, but if you see a red GT coupe driving about with L-plates give him a wave!
My mate's a Fiat driver unfortunately... Used to have a gold Uno 'til it died a month or two back - has a red Cinq Sporting now, despite heavy persuasion that a Polo GT was the way to go!
