Who sells trim?

Anyone know where I can get the black trim that sticks to the b post (VW call it foil)? My dealer can't get it anymore and mine's starting to peel off.

i wonder how much you would need to totally cover a polo in that stuff

i was gunna peel mine off when its warmoutside again (next year) see n as though its painted underneath
if it peals paint off i may buy the ones that say polo all over them

it wont -- or shouldnt -- peel the paint off, but you'll never be able to reuse it as it stretches and tears when you pull it away

Sorry to disappoint you metz, but I tried Martyn last month (I think) for some of the Polo covers, theyve gone obsolete

I don't really like them anyway - but because my doors are from a different car, they don't have the trim whereas the b-pillar does!! Would be great to just peel it off!!

Plenty of hot soapy water should do the trick i spose!!

Oh well - i've taken the passenger side one off anyway!! The adhesive comes off the plastic moulding quite easily, but somewhat annoyingly, i'm left with a load of very sticky marks on my b-pillar.

The usual chemical methods won't shift it (and i don't wanna resort to anything too strong around my paintwork!!

) but good old hot water and fairy seems to be doing the trick.

Anyway - the good news is, the plastic moulding seems perfectly reusable (i think it may be thicker than the stuff used on late mk2s).

Will have to have a go at the other one when it gets light again!!

You want to remove them on a very warm day. Also get a hairdryer so the glue underneath gets really hot a they should carefully peel back.

I wonder if the golf trim for the same area is still available and maybe you could trim that down to fit.
