alloy and tyre size

Just in the process of buying some 195/45/16 alloys and was just wondering if they will go on without rubbing or catching can anyone help.....its a 1999 Vreg 5 door.any help will be grateful keep the modded VW comin

rub for definate. u need sum 195/40/16 tyres....
or go for 15" as 195/45/15 are cheaper

Apparently they dont rub i thought they will they have come off a 16v polo and they didnt rub on that just thought id ask what everyone else thought

depends how low it is - standard they won't rub... -40mm and they just might....

Cheers chap standard at mo but hopefully going to be doing alot to it in the near future wheels first then what nows whats going to come after that got a lot to choose from

if you're going to slam it, you'll need the 40 profile on 16's or 195x45x15's if you go for the 15's....
