welcome to the forum. :)

for a start let the engine breathe more easily. a good induction kit and performance cat back zorst is a start. quite a few members have induction kits. some have worked better than others. (browse thro the search function to find the relavant threads)

Such as polopowah's which is a K&N, according to him, all show and no go!
GTI's work well with BMC

there are turbos out... 1 on ebay earlier. costs quite a bit tho

but its not worth spending loads of money to boost it to 100bhp.

instead invest in sum bigger wheels and coilovers so it ll handle better.. (IMO)

hope this helps

Cheers buddy... Had an induction kit on my old car, didnt rate it much.. but i am guessing it varies from car to car. Maybe that would be a good place to start, and the bmc looks pretty sweet!

What maximum size should i be looking at for wheels to not bugger it up?

according to polopowah, he has 195/45/16 on his 16" rims and he is lowered about 70mm and it rubs only reversing (i think  )

i wuld go for 15s with 195/45/15 tyres, and lower it with coilovers and will look very sweet... 8) and handle like a treat. :D (excuse the rhyme)

195/45/16s wont rub at standard height. PM polopowah for more accurate details.

hope this helps
