I'm certain our 1-litres have only 8 valves, unless the number of valves has magically doubled since the last time I checked :D

Also quite interesting that one of the safety features listed is Electronic Stability Program!

Never realised just how dull the Mk5 looks in white either.

i think it is worded a bit wrong! u see he was talking about the 1.4 which came in the 16v.

however, vw have created a engine which is found in the vw gol, which is a 1.0ltr 16v turbo lump

for more info and if u speak a different language:

i heard about this engine a while ago, interesting conversion into a polo wouldn't it!

See I looked at it and thought damm that looks good

But then I do have a thing about white cars

Year after next when I go hunting for a GTi I think I'm gonna have a problem finding a white one - I guess silver or black will be next best thing

u'll have serious trouble finding a GTi in white as they only made them in silver, red and black to keep to the GTI tradition!

I don't like the Mk5 in white. But the Mk4 for some reason I think actually works in white, no idea why.

Think its because of the squarer front end of the Mk4, suits white better in my opinion :D
