The Polo Has Gone!

Post by jrw »

Yesterday was a sad day as the Polo went on its final trip with me to the VW dealer where I have traded it in for a Bora TDi 130 Highline.

I have to say I was sad to see her go but the Bora is a fantastic car to drive and the heated leather seats are quite comfortable as well!

I have hidden loads of Uk-polos.net flyers around the inside as well so hopefully i'll see her on here again!

Below are pictures from the garage (not great cos it was dark!) with my Polo in the background as well.

Very nice :) Shame we'll be losing another polo owner, but good choice of replacement!

Bora lookin' good, they are good to drive, had one for over two weeks whilst me car was in the dealers for the pedal box work to be carried out...don't ask!

So, the highline model, eh? aren't they packed full of goodies?

Yeah, losing another fellow Polo-lover, akin to losing friends to marriage! Shows how we are all growing up! (guess I'm showing my age!).

Polo GT just wasn't different enough to warrant buying it plus for £500 more I got a Bora!

Leather, Heated
Cruise
ESP
Parking sensors
Auto dim mirror
Rain sens wipers

Didn't get the alloy out in the end as I couldn't source a spare steel :(

So far so good though with the Bora! No rattles or dodgy paintwork!!

Er just slightly!!

Well if I had the GT I would have had ESP and Metallic which would have taken it up to what I paid anyway so the Bora it was.

No CD player as standard though which is really weird but the top notch bloke at the garage took the 6 disc in dash player (£400 worth of standard equipment on my sport) and put it in my Bora - Bonus!!

Nice 8) with the exception of the Highline extras (leather, most notably), my Parents have a very similar TDi130 Bora - I'm waiting to be put on the insurance for some diesel fun :P

Despite the Bora 130 being two groups lower than a Polo GTi, they want to charge a premium to add my name to the insurance!
