Removing permenent markers?

Scenario.

The guy that installed my spoiler marked the brackets with a permenent marker on my tailgate.

Now it's all fixed and fine, but I can see the stupid marker lines on the spoiler.

Any way I can clean/remove those lines?

try white spirit - or petrol
