Throttle Body Problems

Does anyone know where i can get a second hand throttle body (in or near birmingham) for a polo 1.4 16v 1997 as Volkswagen want £314.64 inc vat and GSF & ECP say they dont do them.

Try vagparts on this forum?

you'll be lucky to find one second hand at a breakers... what's up with it?

There is sum parts in the it that are loose i think because when the ignition is on you can hear them vibrating, this has caused it to not start now. when the connecter is unplugged the noise stops. it needs new components (circuit board etc inside) have been told i cant get them, only the complete thing.

Have you tried Volks-Apart dismantlers? See under www.volkswagenspares.com. I got a throttle body for my 2001 16v no problem.

I have the same car and had the same problem. After 6 months I found a company called www.vagcomponents.co.uk. £150 + VAT for a brand new Throttle Body with 12 months warranty.

Check that is the problem because its a lot of money if it doesnt do the job
