Parts from a Golf MKII 16v

Post by funkyfatbeatz »

My mate has a Golf 16v he is breaking
and I just wondered what parts would be transferable
to my Polo 16v, if any, eg. brakes etc.

front and rear brakes will. Get the front caliper, caliper carriers, pads, discs. cheap front brake upgrade.

You can also use the rear discs to to change from the drum brake set up, get the stub axle carrier, splash guards, hoses, calipers, disc and pads.

If it all bolts on I would suggest getting new discs and pads all round, you will need 15" wheels to squeeze the brakes under the wheels.

Have a book with step by step guide from doing the conversion on mk1 golf.

Should be a similar process, al components look similar to the polo set up. Will look when I get home and post instructions on the forum.
