Come the end of the summer I think I'll be changing. Wanting to stay with the VAG group and a new A3 is way out of the question :(

I've just thought that some people may be a bit biased here but I'm interested to see.

Hmmm, A much as I'd like to say MK4 Golf...

A) Its being replaced soon
B) Match is just a tarted up S model
C) ONLY the GTis are worth a mention cause they are that bit special :P

The Polos quality problems should now be all but gone as there have been quite a few technical bulletins since it been out and too many part replacements to list (Airbags, Wings you name it...)

Mk6, Slammed, Polished Porsche wheels (pick any model) and you're good to go. Oh, and the fast diesel or FSI of course.

Wouldn't be doing that. Sorry but not my style. Rather bigger than wider wheels for me anyday.

I know it's being replaced soon. I'd get it just before it was replaced - cheaper!

Ash - it's between those two cars.

Good point Krupa, Porsches can be as big as 20's with the new GTR beast. But your Mk6 will be quite pleased with 18 inch GT wheels, or any of the massive range of optional Porsche wheels... You'll enjoy it, no doubt!

Ash: Did you see that German B5 with the new 19'' polished A8 wheels? That just wins it hands down. Stunner!!

Know what you mean Tigor. I'd go for a set of the 18'' Audi TT wheels - the multi spoke ones, not sure of the name though

I had a Golf mk4 V5 and now have the Polo 9n.

The Polo wins hand down with better handling, ride and it is newer in everyway. GolfMK4 is coming to an end so will effect the value.

Polo I say!

The Mk4 Golf handling does leave something to be desired!
If you must change it (you have done a great job of the MK5 so why?), I reckon out of the 2 it has to be a 9N!
