rear bumper problems

was wondering how the lower part of the rear bumper is attached as its slightly dented and i thought i should try some D.I.Y. on it, as its a standard the mk4 rear bumper is in two pieces in case some people were wondering what i was on about.

ok im encountering problems in getting the top part off to begin with due to hidden fixxings not metnioned i nthe haynes manual!!! help?
