my gf said "so why dont you want to get a golf?" when that car was on

lol girls

(NB: not all girls. some really dont get it with cars)

after explaining it was brand new and that I coudnt afford a new gti and the m4 was rubbish I said "anyways, if I wanted a modern gti vw to go quick in, like the orginal mk1 golf, I'd get a lupo gti"

the reply "but thats not a golf"

doh

Plato - may as well keep masked cos next to no one knows who he is, would take ages for Jezza to explain touring cars to people.

the old one was perry mcarthy, i don't think this one is damon hill - the stig drives too ragged for him.... I reckon it's a touring car driver too, not sure who tho!

it makes you wonder how richard whitley and terry wogan drove the track so dam slow!

wogan on his radio show (hey they aint no better radio in a monring commute than wake up to wogan)
anyways
wogan said in response to people writing in and having a go at him over his slow time

"slow and steady, wins the race"

in rush hour traffic, thats for sure

big repsect for the blind guy! takes alot to go round the track!

as for who it is, i did reckon jason plato as when they started the hole stig thing, driven on channel four was going a bit down hill! but damon hill may be an option

slow, steady, in a relatively high gear, but with your radar turned up to full to see which way the queues are headed in each lane and ready to either stomp the brake or drop into 1st and floor it at any instant.

that wins the rush hour race :D

I dunno, like Cliff said, gaining any more than 2 mins is near impossible. Just adds stress to your life.

It is funny blocking people who drive like that and watching their stress levels rise. Esp if they're driving beemers or mercs....
