By the way heres some independant numbers for the 1986 polo C (with a 1043cc hydraulic head engine and 4 speed box) Taken from VW motoring Dated Feb 1986 (kindly donated to me by optima21)

0-60 18.4 seconds, (18.5 is the official figure) load of two persons (driver and passenger) and 3/4 tank of fuel. So loose a person and some fuel and the car instanly becomes 100Kg or about 15% lighter. So shave 15% off your 0-60 time and your into the mid 15s then. (although it doesnt quite work like that)

still waiting a chance to do a repeat run with the chip in

cant remember the figures i got last time any more! think it was 18-19 secs..

as i believe i said, hard to believe, but sadly i have no proof of wot me car does! all i no is that my bro reckons its faster than his mk5!

tried a quick run on the way home from college, from a standing start, 15.2secs with 3quater tank of petrol! sound a bit better than 13, tis amazing wot a slight roll can do!

here is the induction kit back in the summer (its now sporting a warm air feed off the exhaust manifold)
