QUestion Time

Post by MK5POLO_2004 »

Okay first of all i was wondering if any other mk5 owners had thought about having a dual exit exhaust one at either end of the rear bumper. And if there ist enough space under the boot to run the pipes and backbox etc.

And what coilovers you would go for im planning on putting 15" Wolfrace octane in matt black as pictured below.

And dropping it as much as possible

My polo is a 2000 1.0 E

Cheers

Dual exit exhaust a la R32? I think the spare wheel whell gets in the way IIRC? But its worth asking a custom zorst place like LongLife or Powerflow to see what they can do, you should be able to get the pipes mounted high enough for it to look good, rather than looking like they're hanging off the bottom of the car!

For lowering, if you're staying with 15"s (nice choice of rims btw) then I reckon you might be able to go up to 110mm down? Theres lots of choice about for coilovers, Highsports seem to be popular tho!

Cant wait to see some photos of the alloys on the car.

How much did they set you back? Have you bought them with or without tyres?

mine is 80mm, i wouldn't go much lower if you have speed bumps in your area! those alloys are well nice 8) Black and polished is the way to go! oh i have spax RSX kit, i've had no problems with mine but remember when you fit them to put loads of grease on the threds (copper slip)

edit - you can go 110mm, anymore and you start fowling you drive shafts!
