Interior Question

Post by bstardchild »

I'm gonna double post this in MKIV and MKV sections sorry I'm not being a post whore just think I'll probably get an answer from one or other or both

Can you fit a MKV interior (including door cards) to a MKIV?

I've seen it being done, including door cards that is - the seats are easy.

I vaguely remember that guy saying something about light modifications to the door cards, but don't ask me about specifics. I'm betting they won't line up nicely with the dash anyway.

Other than that, you can use most parts from the Mk5, interior wise.

Bows to the master - top reply Alex - many thanks

I wasn't worried about the seats more the door cards but I guess i could always re-trim my own ones

No problem Ian, you could still have a go of course - it should be possible with some fiddling... Having said that, retrimming the original ones is fool proof.

I've done some stuff like this before - bolt on is easy but if it doesn't fit exactly it looks like a dogs breakfast so I'd rather re-trim than put up with a poor fitting panel thats already trimed - that makes sense right?
