service oil message flashing on screen?? anyone help??

hey just got in my car this afternoon and there was a message under the total mileage counter. it was flashing oil service and when i started to drive it was tallying up my total service miles! whats this all about! i only had the car serviced a few months back! do i need to do another oil change?? can anyone help??

OIL is a type of service code

you must of run over some milage like 80,000 miles or summin

(cant remember what milage triggers it)

time for another service

(or to get the light reset if they didnt do on your last service)

the service thing will flash summin every 10,000 miles

after a bit it gives up flashing, shows you your miles and puts a service thing in the display thing

(lots of things i know)

you can press the reset btn of the milage once to show your milage if you need to know before the things stopped flashing

the mileage is at 76000 and odd! u recomend i put it in for a service!? how much does it cost for a full service?
