I've heard it on the grape vine that these fit straight into Mk 4's with the subaru or original VW sub frames... does any one know if this is true? Ive got a 5dr by the way so I makes no difference that they dont have a reclining facility.
Cheers and Merry Christmas!

Yeah I know I could make them fit by just getting my welder out easy enough but I heard from a few people that they were a straight swap (by bolting the VW or Subaru sub-frames on the bottom of the subaru seats and then fitting them into the polo) which surprised me. The general point of the post was to see if anyone had done this themselves and would therefore know if this statement was true... Just out a matter of interest

Ahhh..
THought so.
The reason im so adamant is i know someone that got a set for a rallye and had to create a subframe for them. rallyes use the same astyle albeit narrower runners as the polo, if they were similar, he would of said.
same goes for, if it were that easy, everyone would do it. isay convert them, supposed to be proper comfy
im also pretty sure after playing with my bro's scooby, the runners are copmpletly different
