it's a mk4... i think..... if its a 5 then chuck me off :D

v-reg, 84k miles, £3299 ... 1.4 "Match", jet black 5 door, seems in pretty good nick externally & thru windows but i havent yet sat in it or had it running. decent set of basic OE alloys too, though all 4 tyres certainly need attention.

does any of that seem particularly good / bad?

nah they're just very, very borderline legal - if there's 3mm of tread on there it'd be a blessing. yet they've still back-to-blacked the heck out of the sidewalls :D

There's much 'better' stuff out there, especially if you're prepared to travel a bit. I've been scouring the 'trader today for summat for my mother; there's a 1.4CL in silver and 40k miles for similar money...

Don't forget Polo saloons/Seats either, seem lower priced year for year than the equivalent hatchback and you can get a 100bhp 1.6 8v :)
