Will these alloys fit my car???

Post by kapur »

I've got a 6n2, it hasn't been lowered or anything,

just wondering if they'll fit straight on?

They come with tyres, and seem reasonable.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 13222&rd=1

The description says:-

"4 * Brand New 6.5x15" Wolfrace Excite Tornado Alloy Wheels.
Fitted with Brand New Premium Economy 195/50/15 tyres.
Colour is Silver.
Price includes nuts or bolts.

Fits most 4 stud cars."

Further on in the description:-

"Contact me with vehicle details before buying, include make, model, version and year. So I can confirm that these wheels will fit your car, avoids disappointment. Emails answered promptly."

Polo 6n2 is 4x100 PCD, ET38 offset IIRC. They should go on with no hassle. They'd look better with 195/45/15 tyres (lower profile) but they'll still look 8) on the supplied budget 195/50/15s.

Give them a call/e-mail, but they should fit :)

yep ET38 is ideal..

you can also fit ET35 as well.
worth the extra money to get 195/45/15 tyres.

Ok, thats great, should be purchasing them sometime soon. He's got quite a few of them in.

Anyone got any idea if my current tyres will fit on these new alloys? I think my tyres are on 15" steelies.

Also, anyone know if they'll be ok if the car is lowered by say about 40mm all round?

I'm going out in a bit, will try and check the tyre size. Is it normally written on the tyre?

Yeah if you take a look at your current tyres they'll have the details stamped on them somewhere on the sidewall. They'll most likely be one of the two sizes already mentioned - my moneys on 195/50s.

Lowering your 6n2 and bolting those wheels on, it'll look pretty damn nice! Post pics when you've spent all your money! :D

Hi guys, i'm back, unfortunatley, those alloys were a bit above my budget.

Will these wheels fit???

They are 6.5 x 15 inch rims with 195/50/15 Ventus K102 tyres.

The offset is ET43

PCD is 4 x 100

Same size and offset as a Polo GTI wheel, so yes.

Ok, thats great. Thanks.

Just that someone mentioned that et 38 is the best and perfect fit for my car.

what does the et do/mean? Whats the difference between et43 and et38?

I've just been looking around, and read that the maximum et a polo will take is et38... Is this true?

I need to be 101% sure before i purchase these alloys. Their going pretty cheap at the moment, and they look really nice.

You can't go wrong with 6,5x15 et 43, as they are the same size as OE wheels on the GTI. However, the tyres are on the large side, since the correct size would be 195-45-15, not 50. If you're not lowered you could get away with it, there are some people that run this size without problems. They look a bit chunky though.

On the ET:

A higher ET does not mean they are more extreme, but just the opposite. If the ET is high, the wheel will be placed more into the wheel wells. With a low ET, the wheels will stick out more. I think I posted a longish thread on ET's a while back, do a search for it.
