You'll get used to the throttle very quickly.. it's more a case of slightly curling the toes as you pull away rather than actually moving your foot downwards

As for the gears, the art is not to be precise, it's to be gentle - you can never try to force it in or just flick it over like you'll get used to doing in newer cars, just go with the flow, you'll feel when it likes how you're changing it
