I'll see if I can get a friend of mine to come with me (coming from south of cambridge so quite a trek by myself), if I can then I'll book my ticket and you can count me in
Is this a big show? i.e. worth the 150 mile trip ? If so my car should be finished by then so i'll be up for going on the stand (will email who ever organises the stand pics of my car if needed)
Also when they say that the stand is in categories, what sort of categories is it? cause i may be interested in that aswell
Im sure the stand would only be a club stand, ie to represent uk-polos nothing else but not sure if they run it differently from Inters. 150 mile is nothing Im 240 mile away from it so if Im doing the trip then you can bet your ass you it your doing it too mk4ads Leeds is a piece of cake to get too aswell, its central for everyone so nobody should have an excuse!
I was looking at this in some magazine the other day, it should be a good laugh and would be interested, I've been told that the venue is very nice as my Uni had their Graduation Ball there one time (and never again when the management saw the mess the next day!).
This is the first time for this show, before now the most "local" show for anyone in Yorkshire has been VW Northwest. Its about time we in middle England had a show that we didnt need to travel the length of the country for (fondly remembers weekend trips to VW Action, when it was good, at Stoneleigh).
This is literally a 20 minute drive for me to get to and I will be definately going (1.0 6n2), as will my Dad (1.6 Golf), my Brother (replaced his knackered 1.0 coupe with a 1.0 T reg Polo), and probably my Mum (1.2 9n).
I'm keeping an eye on this thread to see what everyone else thinks and will be doing.
