I'd be interested if the saving covered the bridge toll!!

Nationwide would be good tho - maybe blag a club discount or something as it would inevitably lead to more custom for them!!

the longlife in cardiff are good arent they james, my brother got his R5 turbo zorst done there. Theres one opening in swansea now i think... But the group thing does sound good!

Thank you for your enquiry. We can custom build for any vehicle, and yours is no exception. We have built many systems for the same car, and would normally build from the existing catalyst to the rear.

A Longlife custom built T304 grade stainless steel system for your VW Polo from the manifold (which will cost Â£350) to rear is priced at Â£384 including fitting and VAT, with a life of the car guarantee. Included in the price is a 2.25" rolled lip tail pipe, but you can choose an alternative from our large range of about 45 if you want something different, which may be at a small extra cost.

Because all our systems are custom built, you are able to tell us how you would like the car to sound, anywhere from quiet to full sport. The most popular choice is mid-sport, which gives a slight note when you open the accelerator, yet without being intrusive. If you are interested in technical specifications, the whole system is built in T304 grade stainless steel throughout, and assembled using high frequency Tig welding.

All our systems are built using freeflow technology, so your engine will breathe better than with conventional systems. We have numerous testimonials from customers who have experienced improved engine performance and fuel economy.

Fitting is by appointment and we usually require you car for about 3 hours in your nearest Longlife Centre, while we custom build and fit your system. I was hoping more like 300 for the manifold back - so a VAT free offer would get it closer - but another 350 for the manifold - ouch!!

Looks like i'll be shelving that idea for now then - tho a decat is definitely still on the cards!!

*Who was it who designed their own 4-branch and had it fabricated?? Can't remember who, or how much it was!!

wow, Â£350 just for the manifold! think ill stick with the old plan and buy the manifold and then get them to make the rest of the system. that'll cost nearly Â£500 tho! i dunno wheather to get a de cat and then a s/s system back, or go all out for that

I dunno - it would be nice to get it all done - but at Â£734, it's only 16 quid away from what I paid for the whole car!!

I think i'll just settle with a simple decat from dan aka hardhitter as that should give me some gains and only costs 1/20 as much!!

Would still be interested to hear of any group discounts etc etc.

Mine was Â£280.84 from the manifold back with a standard tail pipe. That's including making up a custom pipe which I had to pay extra.

I'm going to speak to them on monday if I get time and see what they can offer. I'll let you all know what they say.

The cost for a custom built T304 stainless system from the existing down pipe to rear, including a decat pipe and with a standard tail pipe for your VW Polo, would be just Â£429.00 including fitting and VAT, and is guaranteed for life.

This quote is with a straightforward round tail pipe in either a rolled in, or rolled out style. We also have over 45 other tail pipe designs to choose from at a moderate extra cost if you fancy something different, such as ovals, twins, and letterbox styles.

To be honest it would be uneconomical for us to fabricate a manifold from stainless steel for you as the manifold is hand made and this is a really labour intensive process which makes it a very expensive process by comparison to off the shelf manifolds like the 4 branch ashley. However should you wish to pursue this further I will happily provide you with a price .

Hand-building and fitting your system takes approximately 4 hours by appointment at our Leeds centre. As with many customers, Iâ€™d be happy to give you a lift into Leeds City Centre whilst your exhaust system is fitted.

When you arrive, before work commences, you will be talked through the system design and fitment. You will also be given a choice of sound, from quiet to sporty, or somewhere in between. We can also â€˜offer upâ€™ a selection of tail pipe designs to your car to help you make your choice.

After our work is completed the exhaust will undergo a thorough 12 point quality check, to make sure it is clean, there are no leaks, and the fit is perfect, it will then be tested for sound. Don't forget our exhausts are guaranteed for life, so you can truly fit it and forget it, unlike other systems built from lower quality 409 stainless.

I can do exhausts a hell of a lot cheaper than that. Manifold in T304 stainless steel for Â£260 and a matching system for under Â£300.

That's crazy pete!! I think that goes to show they might actually be quite flexible on price if you were to barter over the phone, or rang around different offices!!

You weren't even offered a courtesy car to rag around for 4 hours!!

@Dan - what's the arrangement with yours - do you make them yourself or get someone else to make them or what??

I spoke to longlife in Cardiff. They can do a Group Buy discount and are going to get back to me with prices.

May be a big discount if 5+

He also said if you get a higher quote at another longlife place then phone cardiff. If the give you a better price then your local one will match it!

I'll let you know discounts and things when I get them.
