Cool... do you know how much power they put out? They are quite bassy... I was planning on putting 2 speakers in the back... I have 2 100W 4inch speakers lying around which I want to install... would the sound be really poorly balanced? :?

To be honest, I wouldn't bother with rear speakers - I don't anyway :)

I just upgraded the front speakers, fitted an amp to run them, installed a sub and that's all. Three channels is all I need at the moment. The stock speaker pods are actually quite good.

My polo does not have a place to put front speakers in the doors...
I realy need the part number i use to get them from the VW dealer here in Iceland. If someone could tell me all the part numbers i need for them i would be very happy!! :D

The pod part number is 6N0 867 134 B - 16 euros
The speaker grill is part 6N0 867 149 - 10 euros

You need two of each, of course.

Prices without portuguese VAT, the total i payed here in Lisbon was 62 euros.

If you read the full topic on this link you will see how they fit

I have 4" (coax) in on dashbord, waiting for panels to install 6,5" into. I like rear-fill so I put 8" (coax) on the "backboard". This is powered by 4-chanel Alpine V12 F-300 and it sounds really good! Also have 2x12" sub in the trunk... 8)

You could still install the 4inch speakers, but they won't produce much bass. Ideally, they'd serve as rear-fill, letting the fronts do all the work and only balancing out the soundstage towards the rear. They'll increase overall volume somewhat, so that's what you gain.

Hehe Yeah it is kinda ghetto of me just having midrangers at the back... especially with the amount of bass coming from the front door speakers!
I wanted to make a DIY bass tube using the two 4inchers i have! :D but I cant be bothered really.
I just want to make use of these speakers and might aswell just mount them in the back eh.
