i went on to ebay and out a search in for vw alloys, i expected thousands of the things especially in 14 or 15 inch. I was wrong and there werent many at all. Any ideas where i can get some?

Don't search specifically for VW ALLOYS. Generalise it a bit more, or simply browse through the 14/15" categories. If it's a specific type of wheel you're after, find out what model or car it was on and search. Like BBS, or Mk3 GTI Golf. Etc, etc...

holy s**t thats alot of money for them wheels. Ive seen them go for £50 on there in the past. Theyre great for squarebacks those wheels as theyre et45 so they fit under the rear arches without scrubbing.

best thing you could do is go to..

automotive > car accesories and tuning > alloy wheels and tyres > then search for "vw" it usually helps if you then select lowest price first.
