I've been taking a hacksaw to my mk2 this afternoon. Very satisfying indeed. Productive too, my wheels actually fit now..

I seem to remember that the thing with mk3 cards is that they're too wide at the dashboard end so the door doesn't close properly, so they have to be squashed / skimmed at that end to fit them. Is that the problem you were having, or is it somewhere else?
Another thing, you'll need the mk3 door handles, the mk2 ones are a different size.

Do yourself a favour and put a set of MK2 Cards on it... Maybe have your old ones properly retrimmed... There's plenty of retrimmers out there.

Personally I agree with you, I think the mk3 cards are far better looking.. and they will fit with a bit of persuasion, plenty of people have done it. What's stopping them fitting right? Some kind of obstruction? Do they just not screw down at all, or are they just wonky when they do fit?
